Thanksgiving happened, oh boy did it happen. My very first nearly solo turkey dinner. Edible but not spectacular. I think La Martha's crown is safe.
We had the usual suspects for dinner and it was very low key. No fist fights, no drunken brawls. Trust me, it happens.
We also had, what is for us, a big lowland snow. Several inches made our long drive a great place to play, but you wouldn't want to drive there. All the boys had a great time playing. We even managed to build a snowman complete with carrot nose and limes on chopsticks for eyes. Doodle now calls all snowman type figures " nose". Here he is in mid discusion with " nose" they had many things to talk about.
The larger doodle in our family ( known mostly as Crusty Boy or the Dread Pirate) made a game of running up and down the drive in the snow. I couldn't convince him to try running around the lake though ;). He's a great big brother and is busy teaching doodle how to build Mummy's Crypts, make slime and generally cause havok. Nice havok, but havok nonetheless.
A crusty snow angel.
In case you are wondering about the title, Doodle will shout this out at random times throughout the day and night. DRIVER BRIDGE! I have no idea where he heard it but it has come to be a general warning of impending doom around here. REVELS tech week, Christmas and the windstorm of the decade are all about to hit us at once. DRIVER BRIDGE! The water pipe in the attic is frozen, I can't find the heating pad and we are about to have water running into our bedroom. DRIVER BRIDGE! Grey's Anatomy has no new episodes in December! DRIVER BRIDGE!
So much for November.
