Keep in mind that we built our gardens entirely of items that were here when we bought the house. We inherited an attic full of random pieces of wood ( waterbed parts anyone?) and a junk pile that was bigger than me. We have reused nearly all of the wood, along with a fair amount of windfall apple branches from our last big storm. We are still working on using up the large amount of slate and Arizona sandstone pieces. We do not water anything that does not give us food. No immaculate lawn to be found around here. Lots of brown that will green up again in the next big rain. We use no chemicals in the gardens and are big slackers when is comes to weeding. Still we produce a fair amount of our own fruit and vegetables.

Absolutely incredible! Everything is gorgeous and I have a terrible case of pumpkin envy. We have never once grown pumpkins successfully. The closest we have come was growing seeds that were labeled pumpkin but came up as beautiful eggplant. Other than that, our pumpkin plants have blossomed and that is all.
Wow! I especially love the skeleton in the strawberries. :)
